Our ServicesPipe BurstingPipe Bursting is the ideal technique to use for the rehabilitation and replacement of utility lines such as gas, water, sewer, telephone, and power. It efficiently bursts clay, concrete, cast iron, and PVC pipe.
Bursting is also ideal for the rehabilitation of aging utility systems located in congested areas such as municipalities, and city centers for several reasons. The process involves very little disturbance caused by open trench excavation. A constant-tension winch guides the pipe bursting tool through the host pipe. The rear expander displaces host pipe fragments into the surrounding soil, while the tool pulls in the new polyethylene pipe. Additionally, this process generally costs less than the conventional replacement through the open cut method. Finally, since pipe bursting is trenchless, we are able to work in congested areas without interfering with normal traffic flow. Bursting also greatly reduces of the cost of restoration.
